Dear Guys.

I'm a new bie.

I installed a VM on my Azure.

On My VM, I run Modbus slave service ( Port 502). I need to port forwarding for VM in order to modbus master fom internet can connect to it.

I tried add inbound for port 502, but it seem be not enough.

What do I need to do more?

Please help me?

    You would need to:

    1. Ensure your VM has a public IP
    2. Add an NSG rule to allow traffic on port 502 from the internet to your VM]
    3. Ensure any firewall on the VM its self allows port 502 inbound

    Hello Kvmanh - bkas,

If your end goal to connect to a specific VM by using the Load Balancer frontend IP address and port number, you could create the NAT rule to forward the Traffic to your VM.

Reference: Manage port forwarding for backend pool with Azure Load Balancer.

    Sincerely,
