I am new to all this and this may be a silly question, but can I take a backup of my on-prem VM's and restore them to Azure VMware

You can take a backup of your on-premises VMs and restore them to Azure VMware. Azure Backup provides support for backing up and restoring VMs in Azure VMware Solution. You can follow the instructions provided in the Azure Backup documentation to enable backup for your on-premises VMs and restore them to Azure VMware.
