Hello, I have this is security recommendation showing in Defender for Cloud,
"Azure Machine Learning Computes should have local authentication methods disabled",
the remediation steps given is to toggle "Enable SSH access" off. I have checked in my Azure ML Studio compute instances/cluster that they are already disabled. Why does it still showing that resource unhealthy?
Sometimes, security recommendations take time to re-evaluate the state of your resources.
It’s possible that the change you made hasn’t been reflected in the evaluation yet.
Wait for some time (usually a few hours) and check if the recommendation status updates.
Hi @Vahid Ghafarpour , thanks for your input. But actually these security recommendation has been showing from last week, and still showing today even though the SSH access was already disabled.
@Andy Lau Pik Hui Do you have multiple workspaces? If Yes, it could be that another workspace could have compute instances with SSH enabled. Does it also display the workspace name and compute instance name in the recommendation?
Hi @romungi-MSFT , yes the recommendation shows different workspaces and the compute instance and cluster's name. But the ones showed in recommendation are already "disabled SSH" in the studio.
@Andy Lau Pik Hui If it is already disabled you can ignore the recommendation. I am not aware of the criteria used by defender to re-check the status but if it does not go away you can feel free to raise a support case about incorrect recommendations by defender for cloud. Thanks!!

Hi @Pauline Mbabu , here's the response from MS support after raising a ticket.
The issue is resolved (moved to the healthy resourcet tab) but seems like the exact reason behind this could not be identified.
