Using Defender for endpoint on Servers

Hi all,

I am looking to put Microsoft Defender on my servers, I know there is Defender for servers however could I install Defender for endpoint instead? To save costs?

Or once I enrol the servers to defender for endpoint it will convert to defender for server and start charging me?
