Save your data before it’s deleted - Email From Microsoft

A month or so ago, I received an email from Microsoft saying

"Your subscription offer, Access to Azure Active Directory, will be disabled on May 2, 2024".

I have a Pay as you go account that I created when Azure was very first released (2009?) and I still use that email address. Still, after a Google around, I didn't worry about it too much as I assumed it would resolve itself.

This week, I've recieved an email saying:

Save your data before it’s deleted

"We’re sorry to see you go. Since you cancelled your subscription, we’ve disabled your services. If you have data stored in this subscription, we’ll keep it safe before permanently deleting it on 07 August 2024. Please log in and save any important data you may have stored in this subscription before then."

I checked and this is really important to me - it includes all my professional developer certifications (such as AZ-204 - critical for my Job). Surely if this account is deleted, I won't be able to renew my certifications?

What should I do about this please?

From your post I understand that you received an email about "Your subscription offer, Access to Azure Active Directory, will be disabled on May 2, 2024" and an email that talks about saving the data.

In short - No action is required from your end.
