What do I do when I need to sign in to the authenticator app, but need codes from the authenticator app to log in.

I’m a college student trying to login in to my canvas, but in order to do that I need to login in to the authenticator app. When I try logging in to the app it says that I need to put the code it gives me into the app, but how can I put a code into the app if I’m on the app itself already trying to log in. Nothing pops up saying put the code in and if i can’t leave the part I’m on or it’ll reset and give me a new code.

    I 'd call the global number for support and reset the access.
