Connect SharePoint Online List with Synapse Integrated Runtime Managed Virtual Network

Question

Getting an error when attempting to create a Linked Service for SharePoint Online List in Synapse.

I've followed the instructions and prerequisites on MS documentation, but getting the following error when testing the connection:

An error occurred while sending the request. Unable to connect to the remote server

A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 52.104.x.x:443

We are using integrated runtime with managed virtual network. Other linked services to databases and storage accounts work fine. There's not much further helpful info on the error.

Could this be due to using Synapse Managed Virtual Network? The SharePoint list is within our tenant - we're not going outside of our tenant to access. T

Solution: I believe I've found the answer. I opened a ticket with MS after further research, and found some documentation that supports if Data Exfiltration is enabled, it does not allow ANY outbound access. I tested this by creating another Synapse workspace with managed vNet enabled, but Data Exfiltration Protection disabled. I was able to connect to my SP online list from this workspace. Also want to add that this second Synapse workspace is on the same exact vNet (private endpoints) as the first Synapse workspace, so I know the networks are exactly the same.
