Looking sample code for Microsoft edge using webview2 with win32 compatible dll in VB6

Hello Team,

Please help me to create Microsoft edge using webview2 with win32 compatible dll in VB6. Able to create reference WebView2.Tlb but not able to register webview2. Is there way to implement on VB6 using Webview2. I've created dll on visual studio with C++ also to make compatible dll with VB but still not able to refer that dll from vb project.

Trying to see any URL (i.e : https://www.bing.com/) page from vb6 using webview2 control.
Able to See WebView2.tlb intellinsense in VB after reference but not able to register WebView2.dll

Need Code Sample or reference for VB6.

Hi Lalitha,

I checked the supported platforms of WebView2 and it shows:

Win32 C/C++

.NET Framework 4.6.2 or later

.NET Core 3.0 or later

WinUI 3.0

I think it doesn't support VB6 and you can't use it in VB6 project. If you want to use WebView2 in WinForms, you can try to use C# and refer to this sample in the official doc.

I know it won't directly support VB6 but we can create wrapper using C++ dll and refer from VB6. this sample I've tried and able to see the URL. Trying to create compatible dll for vb6 from C++ win32 to use this object.
