Windows 10 without any Admin access / Adminstrator Disabled

Short version -- I have no local Admin access to a computer, though there is an Administrator account. Is there any way I can fix things?

I was told I should ask this over here.

--

  • I have several computers and an AD domain.
  • Let's call the computer in question ALPHA and the domain HERE.LOCAL.
  • ALPHA has only one major user who never needed to be anything except a Standard user.
  • Whenever I needed to do something with the computer, I used my Admin ID from the domain.
  • Now, there is a Trust problem b/w the computer and the domain. I can log onto the computer as the regular user both locally and for our domain. Trying to log in with my Admin ID prompts the trust problem.
  • I can't restore trust w/o running Powershell as Admin. I can't create a new user account.
  • There is a default Administrator account. It is listed as disabled. I can't seem to re-enable it.

So far, I've tried and failed to:

-turn the Standard user into an Admin
-get the Administrator account enabled
-Using a password reset program -- one has done a little but wants $30 before helping and the others have triggered virus alerts

I'd appreciate some help / suggestions.

    I've tried that.

    a) I booted in standard safe mode. Logged in w/ user Administrator -- "Your account has been disabled. Please see your system administrator." I'm pretty sure the password is <ENTER> since that gives this error and anything else tells me I have the wrong user name / password.
    b) I can't manage anything with Local Users and Groups when logged in as USER, because standard users can't create administrators.
    c) I can't boot to a command line. "You need to sign in as an administrator to continue. But there aren't any administrator accounts on this PC."
    d) I tried again in Networked Safe Mode. I still could not log in as Administrator and trying to do a HERE.LOCAL account got the trust error message.

    I appreciate the effort.

If you cannot logon because the passwords are unknown then I think you'll need to clean install it.

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having issues related to Trust Relation error on Local computer and you wish to Enable Local Admin user.

Log on to Windows by using Recovery Console :
You can use the recovery console to access the computer even if the local Administrator account is disabled. Disabling the local Administrator account does not prevent you from logging on to the recovery console as Administrator.

From the Recovery Console Try to create new Admin User and make member of Administrators group for Example : ADAdmin

Start the computer in Normal mode with user created from Recovery console and try to Join with AD
