Report content for moderation on Microsoft Q&A

Any authenticated user can report any content (question, answer, or comment) for moderation that they feel it doesn't follow Q&A Code of Conduct. A moderator will review the report and act upon it.

Prerequisites

You need to be signed in Q&A.

Limitations

You cannot undo a report action.

Report a question or an answer

  1. Go to the question or answer you would like to report.
  2. Select the "Report" option (Flag icon) underneath the question or answer.
  3. Select one of the reasons from the drop down in the "Report a concern" dialog. If you select "Other", please add additional information to help understand the moderator the reason for the reporting.
  4. Select "Submit" button.
  5. A moderator will review the content and act on it.

Report a comment

  1. Go to the comment you would like to report.
  2. Select the overflow menu (the 3 vertical dots, and then "Report").
  3. Select one of the reasons from the drop down in the "Report a concern" dialog. If you select "Other", please add additional information to help understand the moderator the reason for the reporting.
  4. Select "Submit" button.
  5. A moderator will review the content and act on it.

See reported content

Any reported content will have a "Reported" label at the top of the content that was reported. You will still see the content on the site.
