Report content for moderation on Microsoft Q&A
Any authenticated user can report any content (question, answer, or comment) for moderation that they feel it doesn't follow Q&A Code of Conduct. A moderator will review the report and act upon it.
Prerequisites
You need to be signed in Q&A.
Limitations
You cannot undo a report action.
Report a question or an answer
- Go to the question or answer you would like to report.
- Select the "Report" option (Flag icon) underneath the question or answer.
- Select one of the reasons from the drop down in the "Report a concern" dialog. If you select "Other", please add additional information to help understand the moderator the reason for the reporting.
- Select "Submit" button.
- A moderator will review the content and act on it.
Report a comment
- Go to the comment you would like to report.
- Select the overflow menu (the 3 vertical dots, and then "Report").
- Select one of the reasons from the drop down in the "Report a concern" dialog. If you select "Other", please add additional information to help understand the moderator the reason for the reporting.
- Select "Submit" button.
- A moderator will review the content and act on it.
See reported content
Any reported content will have a "Reported" label at the top of the content that was reported. You will still see the content on the site.
