Search Results Error SharePoint:BrowseStyleBlock

Hello,

After applying September patches to both test and production environment my search results have stopped working completely. When a search query is entered the following error message displays:

Unknown server tag 'SharePoint:BrowseStyleBlock'.

I've never seen this error and was not able to find much information on this error. I was able to create a new temporary search results page but would like to get rid of the error and go back to old results page I had before the patches issue. Thnx for any help

    Hi, @Dez-4361,

    According to your description, this issue is related to SharePoint September CU. I assume you have customized the search result page which may cause some issues due to the change in this CU. I will recommended you to open a support ticket about it.

    Still, your error message is mentioned, just take the updated KB as a reference. You can have a check on it here.

    October Patches fixed the issues from September patches. Thanks a bunch
