Hi,

I applied a <Site Closure and Deletion> Policy on specific site such as Personal Site/ Team Site. When I closed the site, the message comes up "The site will be deleted on Wednesday, September 30, 2020". Today is 10/3/2020. It is ridiculous the web site still exists. What happened?? Does any configuration is wrong or some mechanism is that we don't know. thanks

My situation:

  1. Two Domain A and B: The SharePoint Server is hosted in A Domain. As for B Domain is trusted Domain.
  2. I try two user accounts from A and B. The user in A Domain has been deleted, on the contrary, the use in B Domain still exists
  3. Expiration Timer Job has been configured {daily}

    @Will
    To narrow down this issue, please provide the followings:

    1. Did you set the policy on a Classic site or a Modern site? Or is it the MySite of a user?

    I try two user accounts from A and B. The user in A Domain has been deleted, on the contrary, the use in B Domain still exists

    What did you mean by the above? Do the user from domain A and the user from domain B access a same site, then one user could not access the site and another could access?
    3. Please check the last run date of the "Expiration policy" timer job. Please run the timer job again.

    Also, please check the ULS log files to see if there are any errors about this issue.

    Hi weisnh,

    Just fyi, Expiration policy runs on weekly, and runs Saturday at 11 PM. Make sure your Expiration Policy is running fine for the respective Web Application and also one more thing to run the policy just fine you need this Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Workflow Timer Service service to be running on your Application Servers on your SharePoint Farm.

    Thanks & Regards,
