Updates deployment in OSD

Hi,
If any update to be deployed via OSD it has to be deployed first to the same collection the task sequence is deployed to.
Will this deployment be in available mode or required mode?

    For Software Updates, you are correct, the updates have to be deployed to the OSD Collection so the machine has the policy for the updates.

    The application should be installed based on the deployment purpose(available) as the same as task sequence option(available).
