Hi experts,

can we replicate from Azure VM to Hyper-V using ASR?
I don't see this option from Azure console in Recovery Services vaults.

    Hi @Jang Whan Han ,

The Azure Site Recovery (ASR) is designed for replicating from on-premise to Azure, or Azure to Azure, not from Azure to on-premises.

If you need to replicate from Azure to on-premise you could either script this, or automate it Azure Automation.

    For example:

    • Export/copy VHDX.
    • Transfer the VHDX files to on-premise.
    • Create a new VM and attach the VHDX.

There is no direct support of replicating Azure vm to on premises Hyper-V environment. If you really need to transfer the Azure VM to on premises Hyper-V, following method can be used

    1. Copy the VHD of your Azure VM to on-premises server
    2. Create the new VM in Hyper-V and attach the VHD/VHDX
