Hi ,

  1. We are planning to update from CU 10 to CU 11 HF1. can we install CU11 HF1 directly or should we install the intermediate update one by one.
  2. We have 2 sites with standard front pool in each site and edge server in each site
    Site1
    PRStandard FE
    Edge
    Site 2
    DRStandard FE
    Edge
DRFE is configured as Backup pool FQDN when your get-cspool.
    Please advice
    a. order of patching the servers
    b. Once DR servers are patched, can we move users from PR to DR site to patch PR servers.

The DC and DR site front end servers are pool paired, Can we failover to a SFB pool with a different cumulative update.

Cheers
Priya

    @Priya Jayaraman ,

You should install the CU one by one. All the servers in your environment must install the same CU update.

The order for update is as below:

    1. If you want to update the PRStandard FE firstly, perform failover on it by this link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/skypeforbusiness/manage/ha-dr-and-backup-service/failing-over-and-failing-back-a-pool#fail-over-a-front-end-pool.
    2. Download CU 11 HF1 on PRStandard FE and install it following the steps that are described in Updates for Skype for Business Server 2015 (KB3061064).
    3. Fail back the PRStandard FE as this link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/skypeforbusiness/manage/ha-dr-and-backup-service/failing-over-and-failing-back-a-pool#fail-back-a-pool.
    4. Download CU 11 HF1 on DRStandard FE and install it following the steps that are described in Updates for Skype for Business Server 2015 (KB3061064).
