Hi. I'm a newb at creating vm's. I downloaded & installed Oracle Virtualbox(VB) v6.1.14. r140239 (qt5.6.2) onto my W10 64-bit Home Edition v2004 build 19041.572. Next using VB I created a vm from an W10 iso file I downloaded from Microsoft. I used defaults for all the config settings. When I attempt to start the vm I get a error message everytime(see attached log file) err_invalid_name (-104) - Invalid (malformed) file/path name. There's more error data in the logfile. I've removed/reinstalled VB multiple times and disabled my virsuscan software also, before attempting to start the vm. I'm at a loss. Any info to point me in the right direction is much appreciated. Thanks.

VirtualBox is not a microsoft product I'd suggest reaching out to subject matter experts here in dedicated forums.

    Hi ,

Virtualbox is a third-party product which we are not familiar with . You would better have this asked in VirtualBox for better answers.

In addition, you might disable any third-party AV software to see if the issue was gone.

    Best Regards,

    Candy
