How to prevent my first microsoft team email address from showing up.

I'm a student, I started attending classes on teams with my Microsoft account opened with my personal email address.

Now, my personal email was not given access to the teams so I have to switch to my university email, which has access to the class.

I created another account with my university email which was linked to my former account by Microsoft. I had difficulties getting access to the class so I deleted my former account (former email address).

The problem now is even after deleting my personal email address from Microsoft, logging in conveniently with my university email, the teams never let go of my personal email address. The teams still has my personal email address on it instead of my university email, so I still don't have access to my classes.

Please I need help.

Have you checked your Microsoft account profile to see if the accounts are still linked?

Also, may be possible they are linked on the office 365 server...

Just a couple thoughts that came to mind.

    Hi @Adekanmi Omole ,

As the ShaunHolt said above, we recommend you check if your removed email address still associated with your Microsoft account and your university email address is your primary address. For more details about how to set it, you can refer to:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/how-to-add-an-email-address-or-phone-number-to-your-microsoft-account-1898efcd-3f0a-6646-46d8-5b681999e047

Then please try to clean your Teams client cache by following this link’s steps to see if it works.
