I've recently started testing Azure FarmBeats, the crop i'm testing it with is Cane (Sugarcane) growing in the coastal region of Kenya. From the crop selection when adding the farms i have to select others because Cane is not included. Is the FarmBeats team working on adding more crop models like Cane, Sisal and coconuts and also which are the ways of achieving yield prediction with FarmBeats

Thank you so much for your time in advance @Eric Angolo ,

I have confirmed that FarmBeats does not ship with any crop specific models (the crop field is just a property on the farm that helps to identify it). As we believe that the customer is in the best position to know their crop and crop characteristics, it is up to the customer to use the data ingested by FarmBeats to build their models.

Once the data is available in FarmBeats , the natural next step is that it can be used for data fusion and for building machine learning/artificial intelligence models. A way to achieve this is by using Azure FarmBeats Translator component, which enables sensor partner integration.

See here for more information: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/industry/agriculture/sensor-partner-integration-in-azure-farmbeats

    Thank you!
