I have Outlook from a Microsoft 365 subscription. In the Outlook I have 5 accounts (email addresses).
I recently called help and was shown how to define which account should be opened when Outlook is started.
I tried to replicate the method and have a problem.
The method shown was
Open Outlook
Click on file
Click on options
Click on advanced
in Start and Exit section
Click on Browse.
Select the required email address to be shown.
The attached images show this in the Outlook in question.
In the last Image there is an icon before the selected email address which looks like an 'E' what is the significance of this icon and how is eit remove or sey?

    Hi @Alan Cameron ,

Thanks for your updating, and please hide your personal information in the screenshot for security.

In the last Image there is an icon before the selected email address which looks like an 'E' what is the significance of this icon and how is eit remove or sey?

For the icon of "E", actually, it's an acronym for Exchange, and it represents the type of your account (we could find the account type via File>Account settings>Account settings like below).

The icon is by design and it wouldn't affect any features in your Outlook, so there seems to be no option that could remove it when you use an Exchange account in Outlook.

Besides, if you still wouldn't like this icon, as an alternative, you could try to configure your account via IMAP or POP(Control Pannel>Mail>Show profiles>double-click your profile>Email accounts>New>Mannual setup>POP or IMAP ). For more information about IMAP and POP setting, please refer to this article: POP, IMAP, and SMTP settings for Outlook.com.

But it's worth mentioning that the POP and IMAP account couldn't sync some items(such as calendar and tasks), which are avaliable in Exchange account, please ensure it could also meet your need of feature before you change it.

Hope that would be helpful to you.

If I understand correctly you are only allowed 1 attachment - is this correct.
Here is the last image I referred to.

Does that give enough detail about my question?
