What are the Sharepoint 2016/2019 Datasheet view known issues

Good afternoon, we migrated our environment from 2010 to 2019 and the users are noticing some differences between the 2010 and 2019 datasheet view. For example:

  1. Column headers are not offering anymore extra filters like before
  2. Fields where you can append changes to existing text, the "View Entries..." link does not work
  3. It seems views with group by are not compatible anymore

Is someone having the same issues? Does anyone know any other issues?

    Hi @Luiz Gouvea ,

Per my test, I got the same results as yours on my end. Actually, the datasheet view has been changed since SharePoint 2013.

In SharePoint 2013/2016/2019, the Datasheet view was replaced with the new Quick Edit option which works now in all browsers (since it is no longer using ActiveX).
And the new Quick Edit mode does not support all the “Excel-like” features that many of the end users got used to in SharePoint 2010.

For the "View Entries..." link, left click it would not work. You could ctrl+left click or middle click to open the link.
