Can anyone help? Logged in as Owner, Global administrator.

The virtual machine couldn't be replicated.
Provider error
Replication for virtual machine 'VM-DC2019' is in error. Fix the error(s) and resume replication.
Possible causes
Replication errors occurred for virtual machine 'VM-DC2019' in cloud/site 'NMM-Migrate2-HyperVSite' because of issues with connectivity to Azure storage.
Recommendation 

  1. If Identity is enabled on the Recovery Services Vault, please make sure the log/target Azure storage account
  has the necessary permissions to access the storage account.
    a) Go to your Storage account -> Access Control (IAM).
    b) Add the below role-assignments (for ARM based storage account) to the Recovery services vault.
        1) "Contributor" and,
        2) "Storage Blob Data Contributor" for Standard storage or "Storage Blob Data Owner" for Premium storage
  2. Fix any issues in the Event Viewer logs (Applications and Service Logs - MicrosoftAzureRecoveryServices) on the Hyper-V host server and resume the replication.

    Had to shutdown the VM, then start the replication, and then could start the VM after replication started

    Probable reasons for the errors are the issues with Azure site Recovery services, application installed. To diagnose these further, please follow the steps

    1. Check for any error in Hyper-V server's event viewer for the service 'MicrosoftAzureRecoveryServices'. You can check in Applications and Service section on event viewer. Fix any errors reported
    2. Download latest MARS agent and use that from here: azurebackup_agent

    I am having this exact issue when migrating a server from HyperV to Azure using Azure Migrate.

    Were you able to solve this issue? If so, could you please share what solved it for you?

    Initial replication failed for virtual machine 'SERVER' because communication to Azure Storage service failed.
