Windows 1909 Search broken

I built some 1909 images from the bottom up. I'm adding Office during the clone process.
I initially had Office on the clone but removed it through control panel.

My org wants it installed during imaging and that works fine. However, in that method, when
a user signs on, they can't bring up the Search (magnifying glass bottom left). I replaced the
WIM with the one that had Office on it and it all works fine.

I have no idea if this is related. I see all over that this is a known issue for 1909, but most fixes are
something to do on the pc once it's up and running.

I'm wondering if there is some reg fix to add 'before' I get to the desktop....or anything I can change on my VM/WIM to fix this issue.

    @Rick Someone

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

    The way to switch from the box to either the icon or no icon altogether is to modify the registry key. We could simply add the registry key using GPO, we don't need a PS script for it.
    According to the Show Search Box in win10 guide maybe we could show the search box on our task bar.we could change the reg which located:
    "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Search"
    SearchboxTaskbarMode DWORD
    0 = Hidden
    1 = Show search or Cortana icon
    2 = Show search box
    Here is the detailed guide for you to refer to:

    Hope this could help you and have a good day!
