Windows 7 32-bit upgraded to Windows 10 32-bit. PC died. Can I reinstall as Windows 10 64-bit?

Hi,

As per title I built a PC (first one) and bought Win 7 Pro 32-bit.
I upgraded to Windows 10 when the upgrade was free.
My PC died recently, however the system disk is OK.
From the old registry:
"BuildLabEx"="19041.1.x86fre.vb_release.191206-1406"
"CompositionEditionID"="Enterprise"
"ProductName"="Windows 10 Pro"
Which I make as Windows 10 32-bit Pro

I'm looking to build another PC and was wondering if I can still use my old serial number to install Windows 10 64-bit Pro -or if I'm going to have to pay for a 64-bit version.

Can anyone advise?

    Yes, you can use the same key regardless if it's 32 or 64 bit.

    Hi,

    Please check the following info:

    1.Perform an upgrade installation of Windows 10 from the qualifying Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 environment. This can be done with the Get Windows 10 icon or with installation media downloaded here.
    2.Activate the upgraded environment, this stores device activation information for Windows 10 in the Windows Store.
    3.Use installation media created at the software download site to perform a clean installation on the system. The activation stored in the Windows Store will be used to validate the install and activate Windows 10.

    If you meet the above conditions, then switch to Windows 10 64 bit is free, it requires that you perform a new installation, that means files, applications and settings will be deleted.
    You will have to reinstall applications and native 64 bit drivers.
