We are doing a BCP action for our failover cluster, as we do this we have to manually delete the DNS A record for the cluster name and let the secondary server register the cluster name and IP address... Is there a way to have the DNS record dynamically update the cluster name DNS host A record when the failover occurs?

    Hi,

Based on my understanding, the Cluster nodes are coss-subnets, in this way, it's recommended to add multiple IP addresses for the CNO, when the Current host server in subnet 1, IP in subnet 1 will online, when failover to subnet 2, IP in subnet 2 will online.

We may use the following method to add an additional IP address for the CNO:

    https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/failover-clustering/configuring-ip-addresses-and-dependencies-for-multi-subnet/ba-p/371698

After configuring the IP addresses, when the Cluster failover to Subnet 2, the owner node will register the DNS record for CNO.
    Thanks for your time!
    Best Regards,
    Anne
