Hyper-V Server 2106 network adapter issues

VM running server 2019 not getting internet access from V-adapter.

2016 Server with 2 Broadcom NetXtreme Gig adapters show internet access (#1 static IP, #2 dhcp)
Created a Hyper-V external Ethernet Adapter off of #2 adapter above and shows internet access (allow mgmt checked)
Assigned V-adapter to 2019VM but does not get internet connection (however, shows on 2016 server that it has internet access)
All adapters have updated drivers. I have recreated adapters/ switch/ VM.

No luck.

So I'm baffled. Thinking it must be the adapters.

Yes, that's correct. That confirms the route is there. I'd get rid of the extra unused adapters.

it isn't clear whether domain or workgroup. If a domain then the single remaining adapter should have the static ip address of domain controller listed for DNS and no others such as router or public DNS

Please post the results of ipconfig /all and tracert 8.8.8.8 for the problem member.

    Hi ,

Based on my understanding, you Hyper-V host is server 2016 and have two Broadcom NetXtreme Gig adapters. (#1 static IP, #2 dhcp) You create a external switch with #2 adapter and assign this switch to server 2019 VM, but server 2019 VM has no internet access. Is that right? Please feel free to let me know if my understanding is wrong.

If yes, please run windows network diagnostics on your 2019 VM and see if it can repair Internet connection. If not, it will also provide some information for us to troubleshooting.

    Best Regards,

    Candy
