Teams: seeing people who have their camera on

Hello,

I am a teacher in higher education. When teaching online I always ask students to turn their camera on, because I want to see their faces. It always seems that nobody does, but I think it is my settings. Also with my colleagues, I can only see one person at a time and when we do screen sharing, I don't see anyone at the bottom of my screen. Only their initials or picture, not the video of them talking.
I was invited to a meeting the other day, and then I DID have a gallery view (everybody together in one screen). So then it seems to be different when I didn't set up the meeting myself. Some people seem to have the possibility to change to gallery view (the three dots in the bar), but I don't have that option.
I am using a MacBook Air. I know this is not best to use Teams, but it is what I have. It also seems that the browser version works better than the app.
Would you have recommendations about how I can have the gallery view and see more people below when sharing my screen?

Thanks!

Zoë

    Hi @Zoë Joncheere ,

Do you mean you cannot find the “Gallery View” in your Microsoft Teams?

In my experience, large gallery view lets you see up to 49 video streams at once. This view is available when there are 10 or more attendees who are sharing video. If you don’t have these new meeting experience, please check if you have turned it on in your Teams settings. For more details about steps, you can refer to:
