Does SCCMCB download content between Deployment Deadline and Maintainance Window

Hi,

I have an application deployment scheduled as follows:

Scheduled the application to be available at: 1AM Saturday

Installation Deadline : 1:30AM Saturday

The related collection has a maintenance windows : 3:30AM - 6:30AM Sunday

I know that the client will start downloading the application content at 1AM saturday and would have tried installing the application by 1:30AM saturday. However due to maintainance window, the app installation would start only between 3:30AM to 6:30AM Sunday (Provided Maximum Allowed runtime within the app does not exceed the maintenance window etc..)

My question is: Can application content download take place between the installation deadline and start of maintenance window i.e (between 1:30AM Saturday & 3:30AM Sunday)

Thanks!

    Maintenance windows are irrelevant for content download. Content download will begin at a random time (up to an hour I believe) after the available time for a required deployment.

    @Jason Sandys : Thank You for your response. So if I understood correctly, content download can happen event after the installation deadline is crossed i.e only the 30min gap between between the available time and deadline time (as per the example above), would not have any impact on content download.

    @DS
    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
    For your example:
    Clients will download the policies and download the content at 1AM Saturday(available time).
    And the content download happens only when the deployment reaches/passes the deadline date(1AM Saturday-1:30AM Saturday).
    For application deployment, after the deployment to collection with available time as current time and deadline time as future time, it took random time of 3-4 hours for the application to display in software center and also download happen automatically. Half an hour later, the content that has not been downloaded will not continue to download.
    So content should not download between Deployment Deadline and Maintenance Window, it's recommend to lengthen the time from available time to deadline time.
