NVIDIA Tesla M60 reported a problem

I configured a NV6 yesterday with Windows 10 as a game server. Everything was working just fine. I shut the server down when I had finished with it. When I Started the server this morning I noticed the NVIDIA Tesla M60 has an error.

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

I don't know if it's related, but I am also getting Windows update errors. In Windows update, I have a message that says

Your organization has turned off automatic updates

I did read somewhere that a Microsoft update can fix the NVIDIA problem.

I also keep getting balloon messages in the bottom right of the desktop, telling me "We are adding some features", then a few seconds later an error message telling me that "Something happened and we couldn't install a feature". (I assume because updates are turned off).

So two questions

  1. Is the problem with the NVIDIA card a known one and is there a direct fix?
  2. How do I enable Automatic Updates. Is it through the Azure portal? and if so whereabouts?

@Simon Carr Apologies for the delay is response and all the inconvenience this issue might have caused.

This error occurs when your graphics device driver has notified Windows that the device isn’t working properly. This may mean that the device has a hardware problem, or that the driver or driver software is failing.

Also, NVIDIA issue an official statement after the latest Windows update that a software named Lucid VIRTU MVP is not completely compatible with NVIDIA devices. So, it could also be the reason behind this error.

You can refer to this documentation and see if it resolves your issue or not.

Also If automatic VM guest patching is enabled on a VM, then the available Critical and Security patches are downloaded and applied automatically on the VM. This process kicks off automatically every month when new patches are released through Windows Update. Patch assessment and installation are automatic, and the process includes rebooting the VM as required.

You can refer to this doc for more information.

    Hope it helps!!!

Telling me that my error message is because of an error didnt help me. I have decided to avoid Azure since they are selling a service that is not compatible between the components within that service. If I want to solve the problem that it is inherently in the service offered by Azure, I have to buy an Azure support contract. Errr pick another fool Azure. Bye.
