Issue when trying to create a sendgrid account on azure

Hi-

I am trying to use sendgrid on azure, but when I am creating the account, it gives me an error saying:

The portal is having issues getting an authentication token. The experience rendered may be degraded.

Additional information from the call to get a token:
Extension: SendGrid_EmailService
Details: code: 500, statusText: error, message: There was an error processing your request. Please try again in a few moments., stack:

It has been giving me this since morning, pretty annoyed. And also it disables two fields, and marks them as loading:

Since sendgrid wasnt working I thought I'd try and use SparkPost- The signup was successful, but its been taking hours to deploy.
Then I thought of manually configuring the smtp settings so the host and user and stuff could be sendgrid, but I wasnt able to find a way to do so.

Could someone help me out please! Thanks in advance!!

@Aaryaman Maheshwari , Thanks for posting this question. I'm able to repro this issue and have been discussing on this internally with our product engineering team and will post back as soon as I have more update. Apologies for any inconvenience this issue has caused.

Alternatively, kindy try creating the SendGrid account via - https://portal.azure.com/?feature.customportal=false#home -this works for me.

@ajkuma also wanted to mention I tried testing it out on a few different machines... I also saw one other user come up with the same issues in the last 24 hrs- cant find the link to his concern tho. Currently I'm using PHPmailer but for some weird reason, It works fine for one to two minutes but then it crashes the webpage

@Aaryaman Maheshwari , Thanks for the update. I have checked different regions/locations, it doesn't looks to be location specific. Could you please share what Azure subscription you're using (please do not share the subscription ID publicly, just share the subscription type).

It says I have 13,000 rupees ($200 dollars) worth of credit for 1 month... I'm assuming due to this factor I should be able to get SendGrid.

Our product engineering team have identified a bug and are actively working on fixing it. I understand this issue can be frustrating and is inconvenient, please accept our sincere apologies. As a workaround kindly use this - https://rc.portal.azure.com/ and perform the operation. I believe the product team is targeting a week's time for the fix to roll out globally. We do not have a concrete ETA at this time, but I'll follow-up as soon as I have more information, we're here to help you and I want to ensure that it is not a blocker for our users.

@ajkuma I successfully created the SendGrid account (thank you very much by the way :) ) but when I opened the resource and clicked manage, it redirected me to SendGrid. But when I arrived at SendGrid, it gave me an error saying invalid hash. If you need me to provide the URL I can but I'm not sure if I should on this public forum as it has some parameters about my SendGrid account...

I notice some incidents are declared on SengGrid page - https://status.sendgrid.com/

I'd tried the same scenario and initial hit the same error:

Once again, we regret the inconvenience that this issue has caused. It is a bug that we have identified, and our product engineering team is actively working on fixing it. At this time, we have the workaround in-place (as shared here). On my side I have exactly the same issue.

When I use the website : https://rc.portal.azure.com the internal server error is fixed.
However, when I click on "Manage" I am redirected to the send grid backoffice but I am not automatically logged on it.

I have an error called "Invalid Hash" on their back office.

Do you know when it will be fixed?
On my side I urgently need,to access to the back office to update some setting on it.

@ajkuma do you have to possibility to solve my issue on your side?

Yes, I'm having the exact same problem. I was able to access once to the SendGrid backoffice for one of my SendGrid resources. But after that, if I try to access any SendGrid resource, I get the same SendGrid login page with the header with the text "Invalid hash". Now, even after using the rc.portal.azure.com, I can't access the SendGrid portal for ANY of my SendGrid resources.

@Ignomar on my side I have contacted Send grid because nobody at MS answered me. :'(

They was able to send me an email to reset my password of my "automatically createdsend grid account".
After that I was allowed to connect in my SendGrid account without using the "Azure portal" web site to do it.

The Azure Portal bug is identified, the workaround for now is to access this URL https://rc.portal.azure.com/ and create SengGrid account.
- Once the SengGrid account is created, you can still continue with the normal operation via - https://portal.azure.com/

I was hit with the same "Invalid hash" error when accessing the SendGrid Portal, as mentioned above I have noticed a few incidents declared on SengGrid page -https://status.sendgrid.com/ - Accessing https://app.sendgrid.com/login directly works.

I have tried the same operation via https://portal.azure.com/?feature.customportal=false#home and https://rc.portal.azure.com/ - works now.

The ETA for the fix to deploy to production is 12/04. Kindly note that this is just an estimated time and that can change depending on a myriad of factors.
I’m constantly following-up on this internally and will post back as soon as I have more updates. Apologies for the trouble!

Hi Guys -
I was having the same issue but I fixed it. I actually manually found out the user name and then inputted that instead of relying on the link.

Step 1: In order to find ur username for SendGrid, first, go to the SendGrid resource and then click properties. Now copy the resource id.

Step 2: Now, in the azure online shell, open bash and type the following command:
az resource show --ids [THE COPIED RESOURCE ID]

Make sure to replace [THE COPIED RESOURCE ID] with the resource Id you copied in step 1

Step 3: In the json string that the terminal outputs, look for the username property and note that down

Step 4: After you do that you can manually go to sendgrid.com and then enter the username you just retrieved and then the password which you used to sign up with.

Update:

Our product engineering team have fixed the issue. We can now provision SendGrid account via https://portal.azure.com/ and manage.

The alternate https://rc.portal.azure.com/ URL is no longer required to be used.
