I have created a windows cluster with 2 CSV (4 of Windows Server 2019 build 17763.1098) to Host a Virtual Machines.
One day, we found that there have 2 Server Nodes cannot connect to the CSV and keep display "No Access" and paused after reboot, all VM stored in this cluster are change to "Paused-Critical" status and turned off.
We can not do anything until we remove those issued server from cluster, and here is the error description we found on cluster event logs:
Event log ID 5120:
Cluster Shared Volume 'Storage1' ('Storage1'') has entered a paused state because of 'STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE(c000006d)'. All I/O will temporarily be queued until a path to the volume is reestablished.
Event log ID 2049:
[Cert] Current cert of type ClusterSChannel from DB is installed, expiration: 2021/05/26-10:22:39.000
Event log ID 2050:
[Cert] Cert of type ClusterSetSChannel is missing in DB.
Event log ID 2049:
[Cert] Current cert of type ClusterPKU2U from DB is installed, expiration: 2020/11/21-11:41:02.000
Event log ID 2050:
[Cert] Cert of type ClusterSetPKU2U is missing in DB.
I rebooted these server on around 2020/11/21-11:30, and I am not sure if it is related the expiration date of ClusterPKU2U according above event.
Also I found the link below, which is related the know issue during Windows Server 2019 insider preview:
https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2018/08/21/announcing-windows-server-2019-insider-preview-build-17738/
And 1 known issues a simulate :
"Authentication that uses Public Key Cryptography User-to-User (PKU2U) to access an SMB volume can result in an error, STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE, due to an invalid private key in the certificate for a cluster-created user account (CSUSR) on each cluster node. This issue can cause cross-cluster migration in cluster sets to fail, as well as possibly cause global namespace mappings to fail, leading to virtual machines being unable to access storage."
Anyone know if this is a bug on my case?
Thank you
