Can we remove the decommioned application connectors from SCOM

Hi All,

we have decommissioned the applications NetApp storage, Jalasoft, SCVMM in my SCOM 2012 R2 environment.

We replaced Jalasoft with Solarwind.

Also we see 33 connectors for SCVMM.Is it normal that we have so many connectors for SCVMM.

Can we remove the connectors that are no longer used.

If we remove these connectors any consequences we face.

    Hi @shankar431 ,

    If you have decommissioned your applications that have connectors in SCOM, you can safely remove the connectors.
    I have personally never seen so many SCVMM connectors, I don't believe this is "normal", either way it should now be safe to remove them.

    Hi Leoan,

    Thank you for reply.
    Sorry for my mistake, we are still using the SCVMM connector.
    My issue with this is about showing more connectors.
    What action I need to take in this case.

    We are using SCOM 2012 R2 environment and Using Microsoft system center Virtual machine manager 2012 R2 MP Version : 3.2.8377.0

    Please find the attached Screen shot regarding the connectors are seeing.

    Hi @shankar431 ,

    just make sure you don't use the SCVMM <-> SCOM Integration before you delete those.
    You can either do this with PowerShell or also remove the SCVMM Management Packs (if you don't use the integration of course) and those will be removed.

    Thank you for providing update.
    We are going to use SCVMM for a while.
    In that case how can we identify why 33 connectors were showing for SCVMM in my environment and how to identify unwanted connecters, so that we can remove them.
