Hello, I am currently having trouble with the auto-labeling and sub-label option in AIP.

  1. Does auto-labeling not apply to files that were manually labeled?
    • According to the official website, it is stated that auto-labeling is not applied to files that were manually labeled.
However, I am experiencing cases where the label of manually labeled files are being auto-labeled if they fit the auto-labeling conditions(ex: including sensitive key words).
Is this a normal response or is this an error?
If this is a normal response, then does this means that once a file is manually labeled, auto-labeling will never be applied even though the file contains contents that match auto-labeling conditions(ex: sensitive information)?
  2. Does auto-labeling not apply between sub-labels?
    • I have currently made 5 labels including sub-labels:
      1. Public
      2. Confidential
      3. TopSecret
        3-1) TopSecret-Secret(auto-lable)
        3-2) TopSecret-Share
The issue that I am experiencing is that when a "Public" or "Confidential" labeled files include sensitive information, they are automatically converted to "TopSecret-Secret".
However, when a file that is labed "TopSecret-Share" include the same sensitive information, auto-labeling is not applied and the file remains "TopSecret-Share".
Is this because both "TopSecret-Secret" and "TopSecret-Share" share the same parent lable, or is this an error?

I am currently very confused by the present situation.

Can someone give me a clear answer?

Many thanks and best regards!
