Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has encountered this error message.
Config is MAM, Devices is an iPad with iOS 14.2, Authenticator installed on device. CA set correctly to allow apps with app protection policy.

When user launches Word App, they are asked to register device, that works fine, but then when launching the word app, they are presented with this error...

We have 1500+ users, only this user appears to have the issues, and very very little information out there regarding this error message.

Any help will be appreciated.

@Delroy McKenzie (IT Services) Thanks for posting in our Q&A. From your description, I know that one user gets the app protection issue that this app couldn’t be protected with the intune service. If there’s any misunderstanding, feel free to let us know.

For this issue, we suggest trying to reinstall the word app and launch again.

However, if the issue still persists, we appreciate your help to collect the following information:

    1. Check if it is success when this user launches other apps that are protected by the app protection policy.
    2. Check if it is success when another user login to launch the word app.
    3. Show screenshots of App protection policy setting and Conditional access policy setting we configured for this affected user.
    4. If this user login other iOS device, will the same issue happens?

If there is anything unclear, feel free to let us know.

I found a solution for my user with the same issue! I had to delete all other MAM-managed apps from Microsoft (Teams, Outlook, Edge) and it worked!
