Host Process for Setting Synchronization Windows Server 2012 R2

Hi,

i am facing the issues of high CPU utilization, Host Process for Setting Synchronization (SettingSynchHost.exe) is taking high CPU. how to disable the service or how to stop the service.

Kindly help us to resolve the problem.

    Hi,

    There are 3 ways to stop this service : via local GPO, manually or register key.

    Hi,
    Firstly, you could try to check the permission below:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\InputPersonalization\TrainedDataStore\en-US\2 registry key."
    Give the full control permission.
    If the issue still insists, I suggest that check for update. If you could find new security update, installing them.

    Hi,

    Thanks for suggestion but InputPersonalization not available on sever 2012, i am not able to find the registry.

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft!InputPersonalization

    Host Process for Setting Synchronization (SettingSynchHost.exe) is a process which synchronizes all your system settings with your other devices. the process is responsible for synchronizing all devices with system settings.

    This disgusting process is running all the time! I tried add permissions and sync setting is disabled both in gpedit and in registry, yet it runs all the time... Is it okay in case of this process to rename its exe, so it doesn't start in the first place??? I Am on Windows 10 Pro. THANKS!
