I'm trying to setup a 2-node WFC with S2D. My disks show as mediatype unspecified. When I run the Set-PhysicalDisk command to set the disks to SSD, this works. But after a restart, the mediatype returns to 'Unspecified'.

I'm using Windows Server 2019 Datacenter on VMware vSphere 6.7.

How can I get this change to hold even after a restart?

    Hi,

I noticed we use VMWare, then do we connect the pass-through disks to the VMs?

As far as I know, the MediaType should be recognized automatically, if we used pass-through disks, please check if it is supported to connected the SSD physical disk to VMWare VM directly.

    Best Regards,
    Anne
