Bing Web Serarch V7 - SSL Connection could not be established

When attempting to query the v7 web search with supplied keys

e.g https://api.bing.microsoft.com/v7.0/search?q=united

connection fails citing SSL issues :

SSL Connection could not be established

{"The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure."}
