Monitor and Alert on Backup Policy Membership

I'm looking to monitor that certain VM's are members of a specific backup policy, and if not, generate an alert so that we are aware and can get them remediated. I feel like being able to identify and alert systems that aren't members of a backup policy should be fairly simple, but I've not come across a good way to do so yet. I'm probably just missing something.

SolarWinds is our default monitoring platform but I'm not opposed to doing this through Azure alerts (though I did not see an option to monitor a VM's backup policy membership). We have multiple tenants and multiple subscriptions per tenant, all are MFA.

Any thoughts on what I might be missing, or a simple way to monitor if certain VM's in multiple tenants and subscriptions are members of a specific backup policy?

@SJ I’m not sure about triggering an actual Alert, but, you could use Azure Policy and the built-in backup policies to be able to track/report on which VMs are not being protected. I shall check on triggering alerts and get back if I find any info on the same.
