Windows Server 2012 r2 update failed from my wsus Server.

Windows Server 2012 r2 update failed from my wsus Server. WsusServer is Windows Server 2016.

GroupPolicy Intranet is setted "http://192.168.31.111:8530"
When updating windows server 2012,i use netstat to show current 2012 netstate, beginning "established" then "time_wait" ,and then nothing.
But,Windows Server 2012 r2 can update from micosoft.
What is the problem? any other settings on wsus server 2016 ?

    In order to research further for me, please help to confirm the following information:

    • Did the windows server 2012R2 client shown on the WSUS console? Did the client report correctly?
    • Have you check the windows update log on the windows server 2012R2 client? Please refer to the below picture to check the windows update log if you haven't check before. Please remember to share the error information to me if there are have.

    Thanks for your feeback.

    I checked the informations you provieded above and I found the following error message:

    I retrieved the error and I found the following explanation:
    0x80244011 -2145107951 WU_E_PT_SUS_SERVER_NOT_SET WUServer policy value is missing in the registry.

    So I recommended to check the registry value of the below path:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate

    Please help to confirm whether WUServer and WUStatusServer are correct.

    If the above is correct, please help to confirm the following information:

    1. How many clients shown on the WSUS console?
    2. Have you cleaned the database recently? If not, it is recommended to cleaned the database to see whether this issue will be resolved or not.
