Power Queries built on Excel 2016 Pro are not working on client's Excel O365

Hi - I recently built a handful of models leveraging Excel's Power Query technology. When we tried to turn over to our client, the Queries would not refresh nor would the Power Query editor even open without freezing up.

It is not an access or data connection issue. I am 100% certain it is because these models were created on Excel 2016 Office Pro (which uses a COM Add-in for Power tools, same as Excel 2010, 2013 & 2016) and the client is on Excel O365 which does not need to use the Add-in. The client is capable of using PowerQuery if created in an O365 version of Excel but is not capable of using it if transferred from a machine that uses Office Pro 2016.

I searched countless forums and have not been able to find a fix. Please help!

    Thank you for your feedback.
In order to investigate the issue, we need some more additional details about your scenario and environment. Could you please send us feedback in Excel next time you encounter this issue? (how to give feedback on Microsoft Office?)
Also, please share with us a sample workbook, so we can try and repro this issue locally.

    Thanks,
    Inbar, Excel Team
