If your KMS server is a 2008R2 Enterprise VM and you install a Server 2012R2 Standard KMS key will it activate Server 2008R2/Win10/Server 2012R2 Standard clients? Or do you need a separate 2008R2/2012R2/Win10 keys installed on the KMS server. It appears that only the 2012R2 Standard key is the only one needed. We had all the separate keys at first, but now just have the 2012R2 standards key activated and installed and all of the version activated.

The link shows that "A KMS host that is running Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012, or Windows Server 2008 R2 can activate any Windows client or server operating system that supports volume activation. A KMS host that is running Windows 10 can activate only computers running Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista.". I understand that the KMS server running 2012R2 will activate the other versions, what I'm looking for is something that shows if I have the 2012R2 KMS key activated on the KMS server will it activate 2008R2/Win10 clients or do I also have to purchase and activate the KMS key for both 2008R2/Win10? Or do you just have to have the Server 2012R2 key installed on the KMS host and the GVLK key installed on the client that goes with the client OS such as 2008R2/Win10?
