How to troubleshoot "Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM'" for SMS_MP_FILE_DISPATCH_MANAGER?

I keep getting the following login failed for the Application Name: SMS_MP_FILE_DISPATCH_MANAGER

Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM'. Reason: Failed to open the explicitly specified database 'dbName'. [CLIENT: <local machine>]

First, where does the mpfdm.log located on the SQL Server reporting server services? Second, what else could have caused this login error?

    Hi @CharlieLor ,

    You can locate the mpfdm.log on the site server under "ConfigMgr Install Path\Microsoft Configuration Manager\Logs", you can start the troubleshoot from this log.

    Maybe you will need to check also SQL Server logs for more details.

    I found the mpfdm.log file but nothing in this file shows any error or login failure. So I'm not sure what else to look for in this file.

    @CharlieLor
    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
    Seems this is a duplicate post to:

    This is the Database role_membership of NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM in my CM database:

    I'm sorry for double posting. I'm not sure exactly how the Microsoft Q&A forums work. I posted in the other location under the SCCM forum hoping that group would give me information from the SCCM side of things. I posted in this SQL Server group in case there's something in the SQL Server permissions/settings that I've missed; thus two posts. I just recently learned from the other post that I could just tag this group or vice versa instead of posting in two groups...definitely will do that next time.

    Thank you for your response. I will double check my NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Database role_membership and see if it still shows the same error tomorrow. This error show up in every day around 2AM.

    Here's something I'm still confused. I'm still receiving this error on the default SQL Server instance and not on the SCCM instance. Could it be that the SMS_MP_FILE_DISPATCH_MANAGER component is pointing to the wrong instance? However, there is no error on the SCCM monitor.
