Hi everyone,
We are supporting many RD servers based on 2016/2019 server OS.
Set of policies, including redirected profile PERIODICALLY killing Group Policy client processing, and it stopped processing any further client side extensions.
The only possible solution for this - is to reboot the server, nothing else.
From what we found, it is happening more often with servers that has slower system disk performance. That is based on information gathered from around 700 terminal servers.
Is it possible to find some hotfix similar to this for 2008 server?
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2622802
It describes similar issue for another OS:
You install the Terminal Services role on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2.
You join the terminal server to a domain.
Some Group Policy preference settings are configured in the domain and will be applied to the Terminal server.
Multiple users create Terminal Services sessions with the terminal server at the same time.
Or may be some GPO tuning to reduce load on GP client?
Connection of ~10 users at the same time should not kill it or at least we need to find some solution how to fix it
Many thanks for any help you can provide. Sorry if that is wrong thread to start this discussion, i was not able to find anything closer or similar.
