Teams Teams and Channels - external Guests

Hi,

We support organisations with Cyber and Infrastructure services. We want unified org-based Teams and Channels but when I create a new Team with Channels, and add the external users it adds them as a 'Guest' of our 365 account, and they have to switch between their own account and our Guest one in Teams each time.

I just want the external users to be direct members of my Teams and Channels like they are a user already in my 365 account, with absolutely none of the account switching nonsense required at the moment. That goes against the whole "instant messaging" idea :)

What do I need to configure to make this happen. We already have guest and external access enabled.

Thanks

    Not possible currently, external users need to be added as Guests in order to access Teams/Channel content. You can have 1:1 or group chats and meetings without them being added as guests though.

    @Lanky Doodle ,

    As Michev said, it is not possible now. The two are separate features.

    With guest access, you can provide access to teams, documents in channels, resources, chats, and applications to people outside your organization, while maintaining control over your corporate data.

    With external access, Teams users from an entire external domain can find, call, chat, and set up meetings with you in Teams.
