Hi, I am setting up Azure Site Recovery from the Azure portal. I installed the latest version of the ASR agent, registered the server and everything seems fine, however when creating the replication policy it throws the error when preparing the configuration for protection.

No virtual hard disk found in the specified path.

Solve the problem and try the operation again.

Possible causes
One or more hosts could not be prepared. Check the vendor error for more information.

Recommendation
Solve the problem and try the operation again.

The Host server has 12 vhost, I have detected that it is the first host, its vhd to be not compatible, however I only need to replicate one of the following hosts, is there a process to skip the first host?

Thanks!

@Hugo Miranda Sorry for the delay in response to your query.

I believe you want to skip a VM for a particular host in this case. This is not possible. The VHD here has some issue which is causing the fetch to fail. To resolve this error with pairing, you have three options –

    1. Resolve the issue which is causing the VHD to become faulty. To do so –
      a. Navigate to Hyper-V UI.
      b. Locate the VM to which this VHD belongs.
      c. Go to the VHD and click on ‘Inspect’.

    d. This will show the exact error for this VHD.
    2. Remove the faulty VHD. The VHD is known and you have mentioned that it is not compatible. Then You can remove it.
    3. You can move the VM to a different cluster.
