Basis your experience just wanted to understand, if the application if requires AD SSO, should extend the DC as RODC on Cloud or Azure AD is enough ?

@Ankit Rathod Please find below response:

    • Java Runtime: There is nothing specific limitation as such on WVD side on this scenario.
    • SCCM : You can refer to this for more information.
    • Cisco Jabber :Audio/Video experience may vary but it depends upon application capability as well.
    • Printer : Nothing specific, I assume it is meant access to printers, not running a print server on Windows 10 Multi-Session
    • File Server : Nothing specific, I assume it is meant access to a file server, not running a file server on Windows 10 Multi-Session
    • AutoCAD Viewer : Might require to use a Azure VM SKU with GPU e.g. NV8s_v3/NV8as_v4
    • Call Center Applications :Again it depends on application capability so it is too generic question to answer.

With regards to AD: As WVD VMs require a network connection to Active Directory anyway, those application should also just work. If you expect high traffic to AD from those apps, it might be a good practice to run 2 domain controllers in Azure VMs. RODC would not help as WVD expects access to a writable DC anyway.

    Hope it helps!!!

    Thanks @prmanhas-MSFT for your response.

One clarity i wanted to have on the same context, as follows.,

For Deploying and accessing Windows 10 multisession on WVD following is cost associated.,

    1. Azure Infrastructure Estimate Cost for WVD and other Services.
    2. Azure AD P1.
    3. Windows OS E3 License for Pooled or personal type of WVD per user per month for users to access

Please let me know ,if I'm missing anything..
