WinHTTP Setting Should I have it running

During the trouble shooting of setting up a loopback proxy to control limits on some internet PC access, I ran a command on that PC for WinHTTP and also setup a targeted Group Policy for a couple of users. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-client/networking/use-group-policy-apply-winhttp-proxy-settings I checked some of my Windows10 PC's and the WinHTTP Web Proxy Auto-Discovery is set to Manual and is running. Should this be running by default? I'm having an issue setting my Proxy Exceptions for example; *.officeapps.live.com; *.online.office.com; office.live.com; 13.107.6.171/32; 13.107.140.6/32; 52.108.0.0/14; It will show after saving the exceptions only *.officeapps.live.com; *.online.office.com; It does not show anything else. Thank you,

    Hi,

Thanks for posting in Q&A platform.

By default settings for WinHTTP Web Proxy Auto-Discovery Service is set to Manual and is running. Please try to disable this service or switch it to automatic and running to see if the issue can be resolved.

Here are some similar thread discussed before for your reference:

Thank you for that information. I also did find out why the proxy policy was not showing the URL exemptions. The reason being is that some of the IP address I was putting in the exception list were not valid. If I put in valid URL's or IP addresses it does show.

Thank you for the information on the WinHTTP, since it's by default in the running state, I am good with leaving it that way.

I guess what I really need is the exception list for Outlook365. I will be opening up a ticket with Microsoft on this.

    Thank you,
