Hi!
I'm trying to connect Power BI to Azure Synapse Analytics but I'm unable to create the linked service. When I go to create the linked service, the workspace name does not appear it's locked as loading...

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A platform.

Make sure you have "Created the new workspaces in Power BI" as a prerequisites.

I'm able to link a Power BI workspace to a Synapse Analytics workspace, without any issue.

In case, if you have already have workspaces in Power BI. You may try the following steps:

    • Clear “Cookies and Cached data” of your browser.
    • Private Mode (New InPrivate Window).
    • Try in different browser.

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.

Hi, I've the same problem here.

But it looks like you cannot connect to a PowerBI Workspace in a different tenant.

I've created a Workspace with my Workaccount in my Test Tenant(in the picture Inspark Labs). After that I want to create a Linked Service for PowerBI but there's not Workspace Available.

I've assigned the same right to my test account to de AS Workspace and now I can connect to my Workspace

To solve the issue. I've enabled the option to Allow external guest users to edit and manage content in the organization
Enabled for the entire organization in the Powerbi admin Portal. Gave my workaccount access to a Workspace and now I can connect to the Workspace in Synapse Studio.

When you are connecting to power bi workspace you can use workspace id
(your both account must be same it doesn't work under different tenant)
