Every time I turn my PC off and turn it on again, Teams has to be logged out and logged in again after 3 trials.
How to reproduce the issue (and finally login after 3 trials):

  • turn on your PC
  • open Teams (it is automatically opened at startup)
  • you see a generic error that asks you to restart teams
  • Restart teams and you will see the same error
  • Try to log out (following the second option in the error message)
  • open Teams again
  • insert your email
  • Press enter
  • You will get an error (Error 80090030 - The device that is required by this cryptographic provider is not ready for use )
  • Close again Teams
  • Open again Teams
  • Login
  • Now you can work

I have already tried to follow the suggestions present at the following links:

My second question on microsoft support portal
My third and last question on Microsoft support portal

Please note that:

  • in my system there is not a compatible TPM
  • the issue is not present on a new account just created on the same PC
  • it seems there is no way to completely reset the Teams app because even though I completely uninstall it, completely delete all files, completely remove the suggested registry entries, when I reinstall it, Teams remembers which is the account and the used settings (and it is furthermore the same on Android ... it seems a virus instead of a tool for chats and calls)

Try open start and search for feedback and open the Feedback Hub app and report this issue.
You should also report this issue to the Microsoft team's support team too.

    @Teodoro Montanaro ,

What changes do you do before this issue happened?

According to your description, this issue seems related to your old account.

It recommends you perform a clean boot to eliminate whether this issue is caused by software conflicts.

Please check whether you have many startup entries or not in your computer. Excessive startup entries could also be a factor.
