Microsoft Teams Problem

When I enter a class in Microsoft Teams, it always asks me, at the start, on the mute/unmute button to activate the sound. What gets irritating is the fact that some classes, the host deactivates participant's ability to unmute, which I have to put my hand up so the teacher may allow me to activate the sound, and sometimes, the teacher takes a while to notice that I have my hand up. My friends don't seem to have this problem though. Is there an option where it activates sound automatically?

    Hello,

it is not possible for the host to unmute your microphone.

The feature where no one is allowed to unmute the microphone should be used in a meeting where it is desired that no one will actually talk. So in a meeting where it is expected people will talk from time to time, disallowing everyone from unmuting is not the correct approach.

    But prove me wrong...

You are asking for an option to activate the microphone automatically. At which point this should happen? Nevertheless, besides manually unmuting yourself, there is no way to automate it if I am not mistaken.

    Hi @Afonso Santos

In fact, it depends on whether the organizer restricts your audio permission in Teams meeting. If you don’t want to mute your sound before the meeting, you need to contact with Teams organizer to allow you unmute.
