How can I make my account let me edit my documents again?

Today suddenly all my office 365 apps stopped letting me edit my saved documents, providing the message that they are now read only and that my account doesnt allow editing on a Mac. Ive never had an issue like this in the 5 years Ive been using it.

Please help! Need it to work again ASAP as I'm in yr 12.
